Tannehill National Golf Course is a Public 18 hole golf course located in McCalla, Alabama.
Tannehill National Golf Course first opened for play in 1996. The course was designed by Steve Plummer.
All of the fairways are lined with ten to twenty-foot mounds, and there are twelve lakes in the layout and a creek that runs through nine holes. A few greens are two-tiered and many have subtle breaks and slopes.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,630 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,013 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 15, a par-5 that plays to 546 Yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 6, a par-3 that plays to 135 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 7, a 401 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Tannehill National Golf Course is # 16, a 340 yard par-4. A difficult hole is #9, a 518-yard, par 5, requiring a tee shot that must carry a creek approximately 220 yards out with water hazards on both sides of the narrow landing area. The approach shot is to a green surrounded by water hazards that are not visible from the fairway.
